Black Magic??

How should black proceed?

After 37.Qf1 Rd1+!! 38.Rxd1 only move (38.Kxd1 Qxf1+ white lose Queen & 39…c3 will follow by black). What next black to move??

38…Bc3+! 39.Rd2 Qe4+ 40.Kd1! (If 40.Qe2? ) Qxb1+ 41.Ke2 Qe4+ 42.Kd1 Qb1+ 43.Ke2 Qe4+ & white claims the draw.

If 40.Qe2? How black punish this move??

  1. Melvin says:

very easy…all black has to do is to sacrifice his rook to d1 check! and mate will follow in 3 steps…means mate in four altogether!

  2. I dont think black can win this game… 😀

  3. Guys, just leave your answer here… Please, no engine line ok?? 😀

  4. Nicholas Jinidu says:

The best response for black is to do a forced check Rd1+ and white’s best response would be Rxd1 because Kxd1 means black will ..QxQf1 which will leave white a slight disadvantange and lots of space

  5. Selepas gerakan putih 37.Qf1 kedudukan adalah seperti diagram diatas. Hitam meneruskan permainan dengan gerakan …Rd1!! 38.Rxd1 sudah tentu terpaksa.

    hu..hu..i’m late…

  7. Nicholas Jinidu says:

After white has done with Rxd1, black will force a check by Bc3, making white left with the best option with Rd2 … Cause if white Kd1, then black simply captures queen and check! If white decides to Ke2, black will forced another check at ..Qh4 forcing white King to Ke3 … black will do another forced with d4 … and white King is again forced to move forward to Ke4.. black ends a mate with Qf5#

  8. Nicholas: After 38…Bc3+ if white move 39.Ke2 Qe4# White checkmate!

  9. Nicholas Jinidu says:

Since white is left with the option with 39. Rd2, black continues with the pressure by applying Qe4, forcing white yet again to lose a Rook either white respond with 40. Kd1 or Qe2, where black simply reply with QxRb1 applying another check on white King

  10. Nicholas: Yup… 39.Rd2 Qe4+ 40.Kd1! (If 40.Qe2? ) Qxb1+ 41.Ke2 Qe4+ 42.Kd1 Qb1+ 43.Ke2 Qe4+ & white claims the draw.
